Nelson Mandela, from Prison to Palace.

I visited the prison cell Nelson Mandela stayed in while he was incarcerated in Robben Island, South Africa. I must confess, it was a small, dingy, uncomfortable space, just looking at it made my skin crawl, It made me wonder how he made it all those years, how his spirit was not weakened, how his faith still stood strong, how his believe in his people and country did not waver?
How?

I could not understand until a couple of months ago.
When you know who you are, when you know where you are from and where you are going, in other words, when you know your purpose...Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing can dampen your spirit and resolve.
You see purpose is a very strong and important thing, when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable, knowing your purpose in life keeps you focused, it keeps you motivated and hungry....
And that was what kept Nelson Mandela all those years in that dingy, small prison cell.
What is holding you down, what is keeping you from achieving your purpose or reaching unimaginable heights? I see you breaking forth, and reaching for the skies regardless of any obstacle or prison cell.

Enjoy!
Our guide told us it looks a lot better than it used to be, this here is for tourists, not prisoners.
