Cory's girlfriend Lea Michele released a statement
through her rep on Monday afternoon, stating that she is 'grieving alongside'
Monteith's family. 'Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she’s
received from family, friends, and fans. Since Cory’s passing, Lea has been
grieving alongside his family and making appropriate arrangements with them,'
the 26-year-old Glee actress’ rep told People.
'They are supporting each other as they endure this profound
loss together. We continue to ask the media to respect the privacy of Lea and
Cory’s family,' the rep added.
His ex-girlfriend, Mallory Matoush, told reporters, that
Monteith was 'just a happy guy' and that she saw no sign of the addiction that
would ultimately claim his life.
'Cory kept me in the dark about his drug use,' she claims.
'He told me about his teenage days and his past problems but
he never used anything in front of me, ever.'
'He was always so silly and funny,' she added, explaining
that she only ever saw him drink and then never to excess.
Monteith and Matoush met June 2011 and dated for eight or
nine months.
'Cory was so normal. I didn't even know who he was when I
met him,' she recalled.
HE was young and full of potentials....may his soul rest in peace.
